Prince William Sound

Prince William Sound is famous for its tidewater glaciers and incredible wildlife. Whether you’re passing through on a cruise ship or are planning a visit to Valdez for an adventure in Wrangell-St Elias National Park (the largest in the USA), or even just visiting Whittier for the day, the Sound will astound you. I love visiting Prince William Sound for glacier cruise tours and wildlife photography.

Another activity that may bring you to Prince William Sound is deep sea fishing. Charters go out from Whittier, Valdez and Cordova for halibut, rockfish, cod and salmon fishing. When in Valdez, make the drive north to the Copper River Valley for some of the most famous salmon fishing in the world.
