Anchorage

Anchorage isn’t just the biggest city in Alaska, it’s the perfect hub for having all kinds of adventures. There are lots of things to do in Anchorage, and then when you think about all of the great little day trips from the city, it makes sense that it’s such a popular summer destination. Did you know there are lots of things to do around Anchorage in the winter also?

We enjoy getting to spend time in Anchorage, whether it’s hanging out with friends around town or biking through town looking for moose. There’s always something to do no matter the weather. And Anchorage is full of great restaurants too! I remember when I was younger thinking how lame Anchorage was and always having the same boring food, but now as an actual adult I fully appreciate the flavors and fusions of cooking in Alaska.

Also, when you’re planning your trip to Alaska, it’s often most easy, no matter your final destination, to have a night or two at the beginning or end of your trip and relax and enjoy ANC. From the Hotel Captain Cook to the quaint Copper Whale Inn, you’ll find all sorts of unique stays in Anchorage.
