Anchorage Area

The Anchorage area of Alaska is both a thriving city and the launch point for all kinds of adventures. There are lots of direct flights into ANC from the west coast of the USA and there are also a few international flights. Spending time in Anchorage is a great idea to make sure you have a well rounded Alaska trip.

The Anchorage area includes the city itself, Chugach State Park, Turnagain Arm and the Seward Highway as you head to the Kenai Peninsula. With day trips to Portage and Whittier, Anchorage is a hub for a variety of activities and styles of travel, including the Alaska Railroad.
